Former President Donald Trump is holding a news conference at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida, days after his opponent, Vice President Kamala Harris, announced her running mate, Gov. Tim Walz (D-MN).

Trump announced the press conference in a Truth Social post on Thursday. It is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. EDT.
The news conference comes as the former president and his running mate, Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH), have criticized Harris for not taking a significant number of questions from the press or sitting down for an interview since she became the Democratic nominee last month.
