The GOP now has a 50.4% chance of control, with a mean seat projection of 51 compared to Democrats with 49, Decision Desk projects. This is the first projected lead for Republicans since the organization started its 2022 Election Forecast.

The projected seats have been 50-50 for most of October, except from Oct. 5-10, when Democrats had 51 and Republicans had 49.
