Authorities in Georgia are investing after discovering what they are describing as “incendiary devices” recovered by officials while responding to a fire located nearby a law enforcement training center.
The devices were found on Saturday as local authorities responded to reports of a fire around 2:30 a.m. inside of a parking deck—just a short ways away from the Atlanta Police Training Academy, according to officials.

Upon their arrival to the scene, authorities found multiple motorcycles on fire. Local reporting by FOX 5 Atlanta said members of the Atlanta Police Department were seen staged outside of the training facility shortly after, in the hours following the fire.
“These attacks on public safety resources are outrageous and completely inexcusable. This planned destruction of property and attempted use of explosive devices put both lives and community assets in danger. Those are the tactics of organized criminals, not protestors, and their supporters should ask themselves if they truly want to be associated with such radical and violent people. Working with state, local, and federal law enforcement partners, we will find these criminals and bring them to justice,” Gov. Brian Kemp (R) said in a statement on Saturday.
