Pr. William worker charged with prescription fraud
An employee for the Prince William County Community Services Board and a contractor for the agency have been charged with prescription fraud.
Police said 50-year-old Gina George gave 50-year-old Remon Menias the prescription drug Seroquel, an antipsychotic used to treat schizophrenia and bipolar disorder, even though he was not a patient and was not prescribed the medication.
George, of Woodbridge, works for the county’s community services board, which is the “point of entry” for publicly funded mental health, intellectual disability and substance abuse services, according to the state Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services.
Menias, of Alexandria, was working as a contractor at the Prince William agency’s Woodbridge office, police said.
Mob brawls at Foggy Bottom
Metro got more tricks than treats on Halloween night, after a mob of teens brawled in the Foggy Bottom station.
The crowd of “several dozen” teens started fighting outside the Orange and Blue line station around 10 p.m. on their way back from Georgetown, Metro spokesman Dan Stessel said. The fight then spilled down into the station.
Both Metro Transit Police and D.C.’s Metropolitan Police responded. Pepper spray was released into the crowd, though Stessel said it was not clear whether the cops or one of the teens did it. No one was arrested, Stessel said.
Trick-or-treaters robbed
Two trick-or-treaters were robbed of their candy in Dale City, Prince William County police said.
The victims, aged 15 and 17, were approached by five males who implied they had a handgun and demanded their candy. The teens refused to hand over their candy, and they were assaulted.
Police arrested a 17-year-old Woodbridge male and were looking for the other suspects.
