Fairfax County police are looking for two men they say tried to con an elderly man but robbed him instead.
The men told a 74-year-old they had a winning lottery ticket and they needed his help to cash it. They went to the man’s home, where the men threatened the victim. He drove the suspects to a Falls Church bank, withdrew money and gave it to them.
One robber is believed to be Greek or Hispanic. He’s about 30 years old, 5 feet 3 and 135 pounds with a dark complexion. He spoke with an accent.
The other robber is thought to be Italian. He’s about 45, 6 feet tall and 165 pounds. He had a light complexion and brown eyes. He used the name of Vincent.
