Police are looking for a man suspected of robbing three banks in Northern Virginia, and authorities say he is considered to be armed and dangerous. The man was last seen robbing PNC Bank at 1700 Diagonal Road in Alexandria on Dec. 27 at 2:10 p.m. The suspect entered the bank, implied he had a weapon and asked for money. An undetermined amount of cash was taken from a teller before the suspect fled. No one was injured.
The robber is described as a black male, 6-feet-1 and 170 pounds, between the ages 30 and 45.
In surveillance video, the robber was wearing blue jeans with a black North Face Jacket, a black neck warmer over his mouth, a black stocking cap with a gray stripe around the rim, large black gloves and boots.
The FBI on Friday could not confirm any leads in the case.
Through surveillance video, the man also is suspected in two previous bank robberies: the BB&T branch at 2947 Glebe Road in Arlington on Dec. 14, and the Bank of America at 600 North Washington St. in Alexandria on Dec. 20 at 2:49 p.m, when he escaped on foot. Like the Dec. 27 robbery, the suspect walked into the bank, implied a weapon and demanded money. No one was injured.
In those cases the suspect was wearing a puffy royal blue winter coat over a dark hooded sweatshirt, a black scarf over his face, knit winter hat and dark pants. In both cases the suspect took an undetermined amount of cash.
