Harford sheriff’s deputies went to the recent Baltimore Ravens game against the Oakland Raiders not to watch football, but to track thieves.
Deputies had been investigating more than 30 related thefts in late October in the Baldwin, Fallston and Jarrettsville areas, with most involving unlocked cars and open garages.
The majority of the stolen property were electronic devices, but two victims lost their Ravens tickets.
Deputies traveled to the game and found the unsuspecting fans in those seats. They told the deputies how they got the tickets.
Timothy James Saxon, 28, of Whitehall, was arrested on several theft charges and is being held on $20,000 bail at a detention center, said Sgt. David Betz, spokesman for the sheriff’s office.
