2 men struck, killed after accident

Two men who pulled to the side of the road after a fender bender were struck and killed by a third vehicle, Prince George’s County police said. The men, 34-year-old Roy Lacayo, 34, of the District, and Justo Rosario Jr., 30, of Hyattsville, had been involved in a minor accident about 10:45 p.m. Monday, police said. They had pulled over at Riggs Road and Forest Dale Drive in Adelphi. While the men exchanged information, a woman driving another car struck both of their vehicles and the men. Authorities are investigating whether the woman was intoxicated.

Judge’s ex guilty of stalking

A former girlfriend of D.C. Magistrate Judge Janet Albert was found guilty of stalking her. A jury on Tuesday found Taylor Nuevelle guilty of unlawful, entry, stalking and second-degree burglary. Albert testified that she found Nuevelle in the attic above her bedroom with food and an ice bucket that was used as a toilet. Nuevelle faces up to 16 years in prison at her sentencing set for April 7.

Teen rescued after fall from hill

Prince George’s County fire crews rescued a teenager who fell 100 feet down a snow-covered hill into a ravine Monday night in Upper Marlboro. The fall left the boy unharmed and the teenager climbed back up the hill. But he stopped about 65 feet up and hung onto a tree branch to avoid falling into a creek. Crews rescued the boy and transported him to a nearby hospital with a case of hypothermia.

Woman arrested for firing gun

Loudoun County sheriff’s deputies arrested a Sterling woman after a gun discharged during a dispute with a former roommate. Dolly Jean Freeze, 33, told her daughter to get her gun while her roommate and friends helped move the roommate from the home, deputies said. Freeze was waving the gun toward the friends when it fired, shooting through the bedroom wall and into her young son’s room. Freeze was charged with discharge of a firearm and two counts of child abuse.
