Man charged in December shooting death in Northeast D.C.

A Northeast D.C. man was formally charged Tuesday in a December murder, D.C. police said.

Raymond Faunteroy, 26, was arrested in Arlington on March 13 and was formally charged with first-degree murder while armed on Tuesday in the District, police said. 

About 6 p.m. on Dec. 19, police responded to the 1000 block of Taylor Street NE and found 19-year-old Derrick Ragland suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, police said. He was taken to a hospital, where he died as a result of his injuries.
