The man killed by a CSX train last week has been identified, after the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office recognized him as a juror who had left the courthouse without explanation.
Police identified the man as Joshua M. Brodsky, 44, of Silver Spring.
Brodsky had been serving on a Montgomery County jury, but abruptly left the courthouse July 23, said Darren Popkin, chief deputy sheriff. A judge found Brodsky in contempt of court and issued a warrant.
The Sheriff’s Office recognized Brodsky after police released a sketch of the train victim, whose body was found in Kensington around 1:30 p.m. July 25.
It’s unknown why Brodsky left the courthouse, Popkin said.
