What a meathead …

What a meathead …Two men in California were allegedly awakened by a stranger who applied spices to one of them and struck the other in the face with a sausage.

The suspect, Antonio Vasquez, 22, was found in a nearby field wearing only a T-shirt, boxers and socks after the bizarre Saturday-morning attack. Fresno County sheriff’s deputies arrested Vazquez after finding his wallet in the ransacked house.

The victims’ money was recovered, but the sausage used in the attack was eaten by a dog.

“That’s right,” Lt. Ian Burrimond said. “The dog ate the weapon.”

Spills and thrills

A New Mexico man stopped by state police for weaving erratically through traffic Saturday thought he had a valid excuse for his sorry driving: He spilled his beer.

State Police Officer Kurtis Ward initially thought the driver was joking.

“He was so matter-of-fact about it, like it wasn’t a big deal,” said Ward, who found four opened bottles of beer in the car.

It was the man’s sixth DWI arrest.

2 DUM 4 REAL

Here’s a lesson for aspiring kidnappers.

Three gunmen ordered a man into their white Chevrolet Malibu and ordered him to lead them to another man regarding a dispute, according to Pinellas (Fla.) County sheriff’s deputies.

When an abductor in the backseat put down his handgun to type a text message, the victim snatched it and shot the texter and then shot one of the kidnappers in the front seat. He then held the gun to the driver’s head and ordered him to stop the car, where the victim jumped out and called police.

Two-time mother of the year?

The Frederick County (Md.) woman who was convicted for letting three children ride in the trunk of her car three years ago is in hot water again.

Lanora A. Lucas, 40, of Thurmont, Md. was arrested this week for allegedly buying vodka for her 13-year-old’s birthday party. The party took place in May, in the woods behind Thurmont Elementary School. Two partygoers, ages 13 and 16, wound up hospitalized with alcohol poisoning.

In 2005, Lucas was sentenced to 18 months of probation for letting her 9- and 3-year-old children and the 8-year-old son of a friend ride in the trunk of her Volvo sedan.

No Chihuahua

A woman in Oklahoma shot into a group of people after they told her they hadn’t seen her missing Chihuahua.

The woman asked members of the crowd if they had seen the dog, but they told her they hadn’t and she walked away. She later returned and again inquired about the Chihuahua. She became frustrated when people again told her they had not seen the pet.

The woman then walked away from the group before turning and opening fire with a pistol, firing multiple shots and striking and wounding two victims.
