Goodwill armed robber caught, police say

A 33-year-old man has been accused of robbing at gunpoint the Gaithersburg Goodwill store twice during the holiday season, Montgomery County police said.

Anthony Marquise Roland was arrested this week on assault charges related to an alleged domestic violence incident on the 400 block of Sunburst Court in Gaithersburg, authorities said.

As detectives investigated the domestic violence report, they said they linked Roland to Nov. 27 and Dec. 10 armed robberies of the Goodwill store.

No one was injured in either robbery when Roland allegedly flashed a handgun at a store clerk, demanded cash and made off with the loot, police said.
