Man arrested in Wachovia armed robbery Police in Prince George’s County have arrested a 39-year-old man in the armed robbery of a Wachovia Bank.
Jamalda Durrell Redish, a District Heights, Md., resident, was charged Saturday for his alleged role in the June 13 robbery of the bank on the 5800 block of Silver Hill Road.
Late that afternoon, a man believed to be Redish entered the bank, implied he had a handgun, and demanded money from the tellers. The frightened bank employees complied, and the man fled the bank with the money on foot; a police canvass of the area was unsuccessful.
Redish has been remanded to the Department of Corrections.
