A D.C. tattoo artist pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter while armed in the shooting death of her husband.

Kristin Renee Kozak — known as Liquidity Jones in the tattoo world — faced up to 30 years in prison for the slaying of her husband, Michael Burnett. She’s likely looking at eight years behind bars, prosecutors said.

Kozak, 38, admitted that she shot and killed Burnett, 58, during a heated argument at their residence above the couple’s tattoo parlor at 1503 Pennsylvania Ave. SE. She admitted that she had been under the influence of heroin and cocaine at the time of the shooting.

Kozak specialized in tattooing the portraits of dead people to honor their lives.
