Fairfax police search for SUV in hit-and-run

Fairfax City police have released photos of a SUV that might have been involved in a hit-and-run that critically injured a pedestrian.

On June 15, Mohammad Esaw Jabour, 33, was walking on the sidewalk on Fairfax Boulevard at Warwick Avenue when he was struck by a vehicle traveling east on Fairfax Boulevard. Jabour was thrown more than 50 feet into a parked vehicle, police said.

The striking vehicle was a white 1999 or 2000 Toyota RAV 4 with a black wheel cover over the rear-mounted spare tire. The SUV in the photo was possibly the striking vehicle and was captured by cameras on Fairfax Boulevard at the time of the incident.

Anyone with information on the incident can call 703-385-7848 or 703-591-8477.
