3 charged with using stun guns to rob cabbies Three people have been charged with robbing Montgomery County cab drivers by using stun guns.
Police said Tuesday that 18-year-old Jamel McInnis, 21-year-old Brandon Addison and 20-year-old Kevin Olaniyi have been arrested in connection with two robberies of Regency Cab drivers. In both cases, suspects stunned the drivers with Taser-like devices, stole cash and fled, police said. One robbery happened Jan. 10 near Sutler Square Terrace and Brewers Tavern Way in Clarksburg. The other occurred Jan. 15 on the 300 block of Lawrence Drive in Rockville.
Police: Armed MontCo robberies linked
Montgomery County police believe the same man is responsible for two armed robberies at Gaithersburg businesses.
The first robbery happened Jan. 18, when someone brandished a handgun and demanded cash from employees at the O’Hair Salon and Spa at 424 Main St. The second incident happened Monday, when a masked man demanded cash from an employee at Salon G at 316 Main St. The man also ordered the employee into a bathroom, put a gun to her head and touched her inappropriately, police said.
The suspect was black, about 30 years old, 5 feet 8 inches to 6-feet-tall and 160 to 180 pounds.
Police investigating attempted abduction, sex assault
Police said they are investigating an abduction and attempted sexual assault in Chantilly.
On Sunday shortly before 9:30 p.m., a man grabbed a 37-year-old woman while she was walking toward her home in the 4100 block of Elmwood Street, Fairfax County police said. The man displayed a weapon, moved the woman a short distance, tried to sexually assault her and then left on foot. The woman didn’t need medical attention, police said.
The suspect was described as white, tall, having a medium-build and wearing a dark-colored jacket and dark pants.
