The man who drove a stolen pickup Tuesday morning into a house in northern Baltimore County — killing a sleeping 46-year-old woman — might be linked to several crimes in other counties, police said.
Baltimore County police spokesman Bill Toohey said police apprehended the suspect, whom he did not immediately identify, after he crashed the stolen vehicle into Mary Patricia Sullivan’s house around 5 a.m. on the 16800 block of York Road in Hereford.
Police from several neighboring jurisdictions, including Harford and Cecil counties, as well as southern Pennsylvania, said they believe the man is wanted in a series of thefts, Toohey said.
The vehicle crashed into the two-story house, immediately killing Sullivan, who slept on the first floor.
Sullivan’s two daughters, ages 14 and 16, were taken to her sister’s house, Toohey said.
Inside the vehicle, police found several items they believe to be stolen.
