U.S. Marshals deputies are looking for a convicted sex offender who has violated his parole, and they are asking the public for information that could lead to his arrest.

Shamar Robert Chester was convicted of felony child sex abuse in 2007 after a 15-year-old girl give birth to his baby. Chester was 31 years old at the time, according to charging documents.

Chester was sentenced to 19 months in prison, and ordered to register as a sex offender. He has been a fugitive since August.

“Chester is a dangerous individual who has been evading arrest and supervision for a long time. It’s time to bring him in,” said Deputy Bill Straw of the National Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force.

Chester is listed as 6-feet-2 and 230 pounds. He has numerous tattoos, including “Game Over” on his eyelids and teardrop tattoos under both eyes. On his neck is “Like Father, Like Son,” and a Superman symbol. He’s tattooed up and down both arms and hands and the front of legs.

His last known address was in the 400 block of Second Street NW. He once lived in the 900 block of 19th Street NW, and he also has ties to Maryland.

Anyone with information regarding Chester’s whereabouts is urged to call Deputy Straw or the U.S. Marshals Service at 301-489-1717 or 800-336-0102.
