A juvenile has been arrested in connection with an apparent hate crime in which three men were attacked by a group in Adams Morgan earlier this summer, D.C. police said.
The suspect, a teenage male who lives in the District, was arrested Thursday and has been charged with aggravated assault. His identity is being withheld because he is a juvenile.
About 4:30 a.m. July 13, three men were assaulted by five male suspects on the 1800 block of Kalorama Road Northwest, police said. The suspects yelled several homophobic epithets just before the assault, police said.
The victims, whose identities are being withheld because they are witnesses in the case, were transported to a local hospital where they were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
The investigation is ongoing, police said.
