A 19-year-old Burke man was arrested for calling in two bomb threats to his former high school, authorities said.
Police charged Marco Antonio Verduo Toledo with felony threats to bomb and criminal trespass after he allegedly called in two bomb threats to Annandale High School early Friday.
Police said they found a suspicious backpack near one of the school’s doors before determining it wasn’t dangerous.
The threats, though, affected schools across the Fairfax County School System as students arriving at the high school were held on nearby buses while authorities investigated. Those delays kept the buses from picking up students at more than a dozen elementary schools on time.
