A 50-year-old Alexandria man was charged in a hit-and-run death of a pedestrian, Prince William County police said. Police said Jose A. Acuna drove into a pedestrian near Jefferson Davis Highway and Prince William Parkway early Sunday. The victim, 38-year-old Carlos Medina, of Woodbridge, died at the scene. The vehicle drove off but witnesses provided information and police were able to stop the vehicle. Acuna was charged with voluntarily manslaughter and driving under the influence.
