Manassas police look for suspect in Baskin-Robbins armed robbery

Manassas City Police officers are looking for a man wanted in an armed robbery at a Baskin-Robbins store.

About 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, the man entered the ice cream shop on Dumfries Road and went to the bathroom for about two minutes. Afterward, while displaying a handgun, he went behind the counter and demanded that an employee open the cash register, police said.

The man then told the employee to go into a back room, and he ordered the employee to leave the business while he took money out of the cash register, police said. He left with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect is described as a black man with a goatee who is about 5-feet-6-inches tall and 160 pounds. He was wearing a pale green jacket with a hood, a black T-shirt, blue skinny jeans and athletic shoes that contained red and may have been “Air Jordans,” police said.
