Alleged killer prostitute used Backpage.com to find victim

A 20-year-old Oxon Hill woman charged this week in the 2010 robbery and murder of a D.C. man had advertised her sexual services online before meeting the victim, according to charging documents. District police arrested Latonya Hall on a charge of felony murder in the death of 33-year-old Michaeldeon R. Talley, but the suspect accused of pulling the trigger that killed Talley remains at-large, police said.

The use of the Internet to prey on unsuspecting victims has become common, most notably in the case of a popular D.C. middle school principal who was shot to death in his Silver Spring home hours after “meeting” his killer in an online chat room.
