Authorities in Loudoun County are looking for the man who robbed a bank in Sterling,Va., at gunpoint.
The robber entered the Bank of America located in the 45900 block of Regal Plaza at about 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office.
The robber brandished a gun and demanded cash. He then fled the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash, the sheriff’s office said.
No one was injured in the incident.
No suspects have been identified and no arrests have been made. The robbery is not thought to be connected to any other area crimes.
The robber is described as a white man in his 20s who is about 5 feet 7 inches tall.
At the time of the incident, he was wearing a black baseball hat, a hooded camouflage jacket, a black T-shirt and cargo pants.
The sheriff’s office has released several surveillance photographs of the man and has distributed them on the agency’s social-networking Web sites.
“Hopefully someone will see his photo and recognize him,” said Kraig Troxell, a spokesman for the sheriff’s office.
