A prisoner in the Adult Detention Center in Manassas faces charges for having a gun in the facility that he smuggled in concealed in his rectum, police said.
Brandon Braxton, 18, is charged with possession of a concealed weapon, possession of a weapon by a prisoner and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, according to Prince William County police.
On Thursday, police responded to the detention center for the report of a prisoner with a gun.
According to an investigation, Braxton had concealed a .22-caliber handgun in his rectum before he was arrested and taken to the facility.
Braxton is being incarcerated in connection with burglary charges relating to two incidents from February. The handgun reported missing in one of the burglaries was the one found by authorities at the detention center, police said.
