Woman stabbed on Metrobus

A young woman was stabbed during a fight on a Metrobus on Sunday afternoon, a Metro spokesman said.

Two young women — both about 18 years old — got into a fight on an A8 bus heading to the Anacostia station at about 2:10 p.m. Sunday, officials said. One of the women stabbed the other during the right, Metro officials said. There was no word late Sunday afternoon on her condition.

Metro Transit Police, D.C. police and emergency medical services crews were on the scene Sunday at Chesapeake and Sixth streets SE, where the stabbing occurred.

Man killed in College Park crash

A 40-year-old Chillum man died in a car crash in College Park on Sunday, Prince George’s County police said.

A car driven by Bernard Coatley Jr. was struck by a second car on Baltimore Avenue after he did not yield the right of way while making a left turn from Delaware Street, police said.

The driver of the second car, a 21-year-old man, and his passenger, a 32-year-old man, sustained non-life-threatening injures. A third passenger, a 25-year-old man, was not injured.

Police are investigating the crash but said on their Twitter account that alcohol and speed appeared to be factors in the crash.

Police searching for pair of robbers

Two men robbed a Northwest business at gunpoint Saturday night, D.C. police said.

Police could not specify what type of business the men had targeted, but said the robbery occurred on the 1900 block of Eighth Street NW.

The men entered the store at 9:55 p.m. Saturday, and one brandished a gun and demanded money, police said.

Police are searching for two black males in ski masks, riding bicycles. The first man was wearing black pants and was armed with a gun, police said. The second man was wearing blue pants.
