Couple robbed of $4,000 answering Craigslist ad

BALTIMORE (AP) — Baltimore police say a couple was robbed of $4,000 when they answered a Craigslist ad to buy a vehicle. One of the victims pulled a gun and fired several shots into the air, but no one was hit.

Spokesman Anthony Guglielmi (goo-lee-EHL’-mee) says the couple met with two suspects about 8 p.m. Monday in the Bolton Hill neighborhood. The suspects announced a robbery, a struggle ensued and the suspects got the cash.

Guglielmi says one of the victims, Keyna Oduyoye, (o-DOO-yoy-ee) pulled out a handgun and fired it into the air, causing the suspects to flee the scene. He said Oduyoye chased the suspects, firing more shots into the air.

Oduyoye was charged with a handgun violation.

Guglielmi says a similar robbery occurred in Bolton Hill on Saturday.
