Authorities believe that a 33-year-old Waldorf man shot his mother and stepfather before taking his own life, officials said.

Authorities received reports of the incident at 5 a.m. Tuesday. The 51-year-old woman and her 48-year-old husband, both residents of Seagrape Court in Waldorf, were taken to a hospital in critical condition but are now stable, Charles County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Diane Richardson said.

Later, police found Shea Camya Proctor inside the house, dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The shooting victims were his mother and stepfather, Richardson said.
