A Great Falls man is accused of stabbing his father to death in their home.
Fairfax County police said 25-year-old Casey Emmer called police to report a break-in and stabbing at his home on the 1200 block of Colvin Meadows Lane at about 10:15 p.m. Monday.
When officers arrived, they found Emmer’s father, 62-year-old Lawrence Emmer, dead. Investigators gathered evidence that indicated his son was the killer, said Officer Bud Walker, a police spokesman. Walker said he couldn’t elaborate on that evidence.
There was no break-in at the home, Walker said. He said no one else was home at the time.
Walker said he didn’t know what led to the slaying. Casey Emmer has been charged with murder.
