Twin brothers sentenced for bank heist

Twin brothers were sentenced eight years and one month behind bars for their roles in a Maryland bank robbery and another attempted heist at an ATM.

Darnell Davis, of Severn, and Ronnell Davis, of the District, were sentenced Monday in federal court in Greenbelt for their roles in the winter 2011 heists.

Prosectuors said the 26-year-old brothers worked with others to rob a Wells Fargo Bank in Landover on Jan. 11, 2011, making off with $90,000. They also tried to break into an ATM at a PNC Bank in Greenbelt on Feb. 8, 2011, prosecutors said.
