Prince George’s County Police ended a standoff peacefully Sunday morning, the second in two days.
Police were called to a Fort Washington home on Oxen Hill Road near Kerby Hill Road after a man armed with a knife threatened to commit suicide about 7 a.m. He barricaded himself in the home.
But the standoff ended without further incident at 8:14 a.m., according to Prince George’s County police, and the man was taken to a local hospital for a mental evaluation.
Police had a similar case Saturday in which a man barricaded himself in his Hyattsville home for seven hours after he was involved in a hit-and-run crash. That, too, ended peacefully.
