Amy Fisher, the teenager dubbed the “The Long Island Lolita,” was sentenced five to 15 years for trying to murder the wife of her lover.
Fisher began her affair with Joey Buttafuoco after she took her car to his auto shop for repairs. She was 16.
On May 19, 1992, Fisher, then aged 17, had an accomplice drive her to the Buttafuoco home in Massapequa, N.Y. When Mary Jo Buttafuoco answered the door, Fisher told her that her husband, Joey, was having an affair with Fisher’s younger sister. When Buttafuoco turned away, excusing herself, Fisher shot her in the head, then fled.
