A woman is accused of burying her stillborn baby in a wooded area of Prince William County. Prince William County police said officers were called to the 9300 block of Boley Place in Nokesville for a report of trespassing on Sept. 24.
Officers found 27-year-old Lisa M. Steele, of Oxon Hill, in the area, police said.
Police determined that she had given birth to a stillborn baby on Sept. 19 in Oxon Hill. Steele then traveled to Prince William County to dispose of the remains, police said.
The infant was found in a shallow grave near the road. An autopsy is being conducted on the baby.
Steele is charged with concealment of a dead body. – Emily Babay
