A ninth Springfield-area groping incident has been reported, police officials said. About 4:30 p.m. Thursday, a 42-year-old woman was grabbed from behind in front of a home in the 6000 block of Hibbling Avenue in Springfield, according to the Fairfax County Police Department.

The woman, who was unaware of the previous assaults, told a friend about the incident. The friend knew about the attacks and told the victim to contact police.
