Police say teen shot ducks with paint balls
A Prince George’s County teenager faces animal cruelty charges for allegedly shooting paint balls at ducks in Hagerstown.
Police said Nathaniel Herring, of Capitol Heights, fired the paint balls at ducks and a concession stand window at a city park. The incident happened over the summer.
Herring, 18, is charged with trespassing and inflicting unnecessary suffering on an animal.
Herring has told the judge in the case that the has no criminal convictions but is facing assault charges by his mother, according to the Hagerstown Herald-Mail.
Suspect sought in attack at Arlington hotel
Arlington County police are asking for help finding the man who assaulted and robbed two women at hotel in August.
Police released surveillance photos Thursday of the man they say forced his way into the room of a Best Western hotel on the 2400 block of South Glebe Road at about 11:45 p.m. Aug. 14.
The man restrained the room’s two female occupants and sexually assaulted one of them, police said. He then stole money and electronics.
The assailant is described as a black man who is about 40 years old, 5 feet 8 inches tall and 180 pounds. Anyone with information is asked to call Arlington County police at 703-228-4197.
