A Montgomery County man is jailed in New York City on charges of stalking actress Uma Thurman. Jack Jordan, 39, of North Potomac, has been arraigned on charges of stalking and criminal contempt for violating a restraining order. He was convicted in 2008 of stalking Thurman.
Authorities say Jordan called Thurman several times in late October.
He was arrested in November at his family’s North Potomac home. Police said officers found him sitting at a computer with Thurman’s name in an online search box.
Jordan was ordered to remain in custody without bail until a Wednesday court hearing.
In 2008, he was sentenced to three years probation and told not to attempt to contact Thurman for five years.
