Police are questioning a Fort Washington man after his wife and son were shot to death early Thursday in what is being called a double homicide. Prince George’s County police have identified the two victims as 56-year-old Patricia Mercer Harris and Frank Lamar Harris Jr., 20. Police said the mother and son suffered multiple gunshot wounds.
Police spokeswoman Julie Parker said Frank Harris Sr. called 911 around 4:30 a.m. to report the shootings at the home in the 11800 block of Hickory Drive. The wife and son were pronounced dead at the scene.
There was no sign of a break-in, Parker said.
Police were questioning Harris on Thursday and working to establish a suspect and motive.
