Police are offering a reward for information about how two dogs were injured and abandoned in Anne Arundel County.
Police said a citizen brought Princess, a female pit bull, to a Millersville animal shelter last week after finding the dog on Ritchie Highway near 11th Avenue in Brooklyn Park. That location is near where Rocky Road, a male pit bull, was found suffering dogfighting wounds in February, authorities said. Princess had numerous scars, bite injuries and other wounds.
Police are asking people to be on the lookout for large numbers of dogs being kept at one location and other injured dogs.
A reward of $2,500 is being offered for information that leads to a conviction of whomever abandoned the dogs. Tipsters can call police at 410-222-8900 or Crime Stoppers at 866-7LOCKUP.
