Man charged in Oxon Hill fatal stabbing

A 35-year-old Northern Virginia man has been arrested in a stabbing death in Oxon Hill. Prince George’s County police said Micheal Nealy, of Alexandria, is charged with first-degree murder in the Friday slaying of 20-year-old Jakari Butler.

Nealy was apprehended in Lanham on Monday, police said. He is being held without bond.

Butler was found suffering stab wounds to his upper body on the 1000 block of Marcy Avenue at about 5:30 p.m. He was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

On Saturday, a woman was shot to death in her apartment on the same block. The two Oxon Hill killings pushed Prince George’s County’s homicide total for the year to date past its tally for all of 2010.
