ORIGINAL POST: Montgomery County police are investigating the shooting death of a 24-year-old man as homicide.
Officers received a report of gunshots on the 11400 block of Stewart Lane in the White Oak area of Silver Spring at about 6:40 a.m. Tuesday, said Officer Howard Hersh, a police spokesman.
Police found the man in the street with trauma to his upper body, Hersh said. He said officers also recovered evidence that a firearm was discharged, but would not elaborate on that evidence.
The man’s name has not been released.
Hersh said officers have not identified any suspects.
