Losing his cool
An unsatisfied Florida customer tried to hold an air-conditioning repairman at gunpoint until he finished the job.
Stan Nguyen, 54, accused the repairman of ruining his unit after the employee gave him a diagnosis, according to the Daytona Beach News-Journal. Nguyen reportedly pulled out a gun and tried to shoot the ground but forgot to turn off the safety. He then flipped the safety and pointed the gun at the repairman. Nguyen threatened to shoot the man, who hid behind a van. Both the repairman and Nguyen’s son called police.
Nguyen was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Calgon, take him away
A Georgia man high on bath salts warned police, “I’m’a eat you” as they tried to handcuff him.
Officers said Karl Leventure, 21, showed superhuman strength as it took pepper spray and about five Taser strikes to get him on the ground, according to WSB-TV Atlanta.
“He didn’t even wipe his eyes,” one officer said about the first dose of pepper spray. “He just kept them open.”
Police were originally called to a golf course driving range when Leventure began running around half naked. He carried a golf club and jumped in a nearby pond.
Police eventually got him to the ground. That’s when he began speaking gibberish.
“I’m’a eat you. Four Four. Oh God. Don’t make me eat you,” Leventure is seen screaming in a police video.
Leventure became hysterical again at the hospital. In total, police used a Taser on him 14 times.
He was charged with misdemeanor disorderly conduct and obstruction.
