An Aurora Flight Sciences employee was arrested Monday for allegedly stealing airplane and air drone parts and selling them on the internet, police said.
Shane Twomey, 32, of Front Royal, was charged with one count of embezzlement, Manassas police said. He is scheduled to be in court on May 17.
Twomey had worked at the Aurora location for less than a year and had taken small pieces of airplanes and air drones with an estimated value of about $25,000, Manassas police spokesman Sgt. Ed Rivera said. The alleged embezzlement was reported to police by a representative at Aurora’s location on Wakeman Drive.
