Man slays three, kills self in Maryland home

Police are investigating the deaths of four people found shot to death in Anne Arundel County Sunday morning in an apparent murder-suicide. Anne Arundel police were called to 607 Wood St. in Brooklyn Park about 9 a.m. Sunday after a woman said she had received a “despondent” text message from her adult son who lived there, according to Lt. J.D. Batten. While speaking with the woman, police heard a gunshot from inside the house. Inside they found an adult male, an adult female and twins — a boy and a girl — believed to be about 15.

Police believe the man shot the other three people before killing himself, said Batten. They would not confirm that the four were a family, but all four lived together at the house on Wood Street.
