A suspended Baltimore police officer was arrested Wednesday for trading information on a murder case, a ghost gun, ammunition, and drugs with a member of a motorcycle club in exchange for cocaine and cash.
Steven Umberto Angelini, 41, who has been a member of the Baltimore Police Department since 2006, was arrested Wednesday on charges related to conspiracy to distribute cocaine and oxycodone, federal authorities said.

Angelini conspired with members of the Infamous Ryders Motorcycle Club, including an unnamed president of the Maryland club, trading sensitive information for cocaine, according to a federal complaint.
In text messages between the two, Angelini offered to sell the motorcycle club president oxycodone pills for cocaine on Jan. 6. In subsequent exchanges, Angelini provided the man with information related to a murder investigation and sold him a ghost gun with ammunition, among other things. Ghost guns typically refer to untraceable firearms or those without serial numbers.
Angelini, a member of the administrative duties division, has been suspended with pay since August 2020 in relation to a separate investigation, according to the Baltimore Banner. After his arrest Wednesday, Angelini was suspended without pay.
