Stupid Crimes:

Then they called the pigs

An alleged Oklahoma car thief was arrested after he was chased down, hog tied and hung on a fence by his victim, who happen to be a rodeo rider.

Jeremy Penny said he was baling hay when he saw Kalvin Hulvey, 35, stealing his 1997 Buick. Penny followed the man in a truck and pulled him out of the car when he stopped at an intersection.

He and his father then hog-tied Hulvey and suspended him on a fence while they waited for police.

“We both rodeo,” Penny said. “But here lately, I’ve been having bad luck keeping calves tied, so [Dad] did the tying up. That way we made sure he stayed tied.”

A rough lie

A Massachusetts woman who drove her car into a golf course sand trap said her GPS caused the accident, not the vodka she drank earlier that morning.

Patricia Maione, 46, told police she found herself in a “cornfield” after her GPS told her to turn left. She kept driving to try to find her way out and drove onto a golf course going about 45 mph.

The car eventually fell eight feet into a bunker.

Maione reportedly smelled like alcohol and told police she drank half a liter of vodka that morning. Police also found a Burger King cup of alcohol in the car.

She was arrested and charged with drunken driving, fourth offense; negligent driving and open container.

Police wrote in the report, “Ms. Maione stated that she did not even like golf.”

The naked and the dead

A United Kingdom psychic is in court after allegedly convincing several women to strip naked to “enhance their psychic powers.”

Karl Lang, 49, told the women it would help because “the spirits are naked,” as well, the Daily Mail reports.

He also convinced the women to send nude pictures of themselves and perform sex acts so they could contact dead relatives.

Police were eventually called after Lang claimed it would help if he touched one of the women.

“He said the spirit world was instructing him to do it with me,” one victim said during the trial. “That creeped me out. I knew it had to stop.”
