Dog reported stolen from woman’s yard

D.C. police are looking for a dog that was stolen from the home of his elderly owner while she was doing yard work.

Around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, two juveniles untied Sparky from the front yard fence on the 3200 block of 11th Street NW and ran off with him toward Columbia Road.

Sparky is described as a 4-year-old Shih Tzu/poodle mix, charcoal gray in color. He was on a purple leash and wearing a Washington Redskins collar with two ID tags bearing his owner’s information.

The two theives were described as black males, about 13 years old, 5 feet tall, with slim builds and wearing dark clothing.
