Shot fired at MontCo gas station

A dispute at a Germantown gas station resulted in a 26-year-old man firing a gun at a 38-year-old man Saturday evening, according to Montgomery County Police Capt. Paul Starks.

At 5:53 p.m. Saturday, police responded to reports of a fight at a Freestate gas station at 20650 Frederick Road, Starks said. The dispute may have been sparked by the older man cutting in front of the 26-year-old in line at the gas pump, though it’s not clear whether he did so intentionally. After both men filled up, they began to fight. The younger man fired one shot before fleeing.

No one was injured, and the suspect turned himself in an hour later at the Germantown police station, Starks said.
