Shooting victim faces armed robbery charge

Anne Arundel County Police are investigating a shooting in which the victim faces charges of armed robbery and theft.

The victim, Michael McKenzie Talley, 22, of Brooklyn Park, told police that he was in the Meade Village early Sunday morning when several males approached him and began shooting at him. Talley said he didn’t know who shot him, police said.

Talley told police that he ran to Reece Road, where he got a ride with someone to a hospital.

Authorities discovered an active arrest warrant on file for Talley charging him with armed robbery and theft. Police spokesman Lt. Michael Brothers said Talley will be arrested after he is released from the hospital.
