An Ashburn man has been charged in an armed robbery of a Subway in Loudoun County.
Police say Mohammed B. Akbar, 20, entered the Subway in the Broadlands Center Plaza, displayed a gun and took an undisclosed amount of cash on Aug. 20.
He has been charged with robbery and weapons offenses.
Akbar and his brother, Shamsud-Din T. Akbar, 21, have both been charged in an Aug. 23 robbery in Sterling.
The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office said the pair approached someone in a parking lot on the 45400 block of Holiday Drive and took the victim’s wallet and cash at knifepoint. The victim suffered minor injuries.
Both men are being held without bond.
