The leader of a D.C. Bloods street gang was sentenced to 22 years in prison for kidnapping and forcing a teenage member to have sex with four men. Thirty-two-year-old Albert M. Brice was the leader of the 662 Boss Piru gang, a criminal gang that holds itself out as being part of the Los Angeles-based Bloods street gang. Prosecutors said the 662 Boss Piru gang has been operating in the District since 2004, selling narcotics, stealing motor vehicles, committing robberies and assaults, and promoting prostitution. But the arrest of Brice and seven other gang members in September 2008 was the first time the Bloods have been charged with criminal conspiracy in the District. Price pleaded guilty in April to two federal offenses: kidnapping in aid of racketeering activity and carjacking. U.S. District Judge Henry H. Kennedy this month sentenced Brice to the maximum 22 years. On June 8, 2008, Price and other gang members carjacked a white Range Rover in the Pentagon City mall in Arlington and then drove back to the District to kidnap Price’s girlfriend, an 18-year-old gang member who was trying to leave the criminal organization. She was also four months pregnant with Price’s baby, according to charging documents. Price and the gang members snatched the teenager from outside the Benning Road Metro station and drove her to an abandoned building on Astor Place Southeast, where they beat her up. During the assault, D.C. police showed up and Price fled because he was on probation for assault with a deadly weapon and under a court-ordered curfew, documents said. One of the gang members, the man who had the keys to the Range Rover, was arrested on outstanding warrants. The girl was too afraid to say anything about the kidnapping at the time, prosecutors said. Without a vehicle or money, the gang decided to prostitute the teenage girl, even though she complained of pain to her body. They walked to the 4500 block of Grant Street in Northeast Washington and ordered the teenager to remove her shirt, drop her pants, and dance in front of a group of men hanging around the area. Four men agreed to pay to have sex with her. The gang took her into an alley and forced her to engage in sexual acts with the men.
